Raffaella Lettieri graduated in Chemistry in 2009 at University of Rome La Sapienza and she received her PhD in Chemical Sciences from University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2013. After PhD, she worked as a post-doc in the same University, in the Department of Chemical Science and Technologies. Her research activity is focused on the study of biomolecules as a tool for functional materials. In particular, during PhD and post-doc, she dealt with
- porphyrins combined with bio-related molecules
- conformational changes in peptides
- supported lipid layers as biomimetic membrane model
- inclusion of bio-active molecules on hydrogels
Her current research activity is focused on sustainable technologies to transform organic waste into new biodegradable materials. From 2020 she is Team Leader of Spectroscopic Techniques at LabCAP, ISO 9001:2015 certified laboratory of the Department of Chemical Science and Technologies of University of Rome Tor Vergata.
