Paolo Calligari (Senior assistant professor)
I received my PhD in Biophysics at University “Pierre et Marie Curie” in Paris. I joined Stella’s group after having wandered as a post-doc (ENS Paris, SISSA-Trieste, Univ. Padova). My work combines computational and theoretical methods with experimental ones (QENS, NMR, DLS, etc…) to probe structural and dynamical properties of proteins. I am currently applying multiple computational approaches to characterize the mechanisms of regulation of the phosphatase SHP2.
Daniela Roversi (Postdoctoral fellow)
I received my PhD in Chemistry at University of Rome Tor Vergata with prof. Stella. I moved to IRBM for several years as research scientist in the Peptide Discovery group, working on the solid phase peptide synthesis of therapeutic peptides. I rejoined Stella’s group this year, and now I’ll contribute to the team efforts to understand the mechanism of action of host-defence peptides, and to study peptide-based inhibitors of protein-protein interactions of the SHP2 phosphatase.
